Summit Ski AreaSummit Ski Area and Snow Bunny Snowplay are located on Mount Hood, approximately 60 miles from Portland and in close proximity to Government Camp, Oregon. This is one of the oldest ski areas in the area; it is family oriented and affordable. Summit Ski Area operates the Snow Bunny Snowplay and Tubing area for children, located a short distance from the ski area. They offer downhill and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and have a ski school. There is also a day lodge and cafe at Summit. The ski area relies on natural snow, but the affordable rates are worth checking the snow conditions, especially for beginners and families with children. Snow Bunny tubing and sledding offers the same affordable rates.
