Mount Hood Meadows Ski ResortMount Hood Meadows Ski Resort located in the Mt. Hood National Forest is approximately 67 miles from Portland, Oregon where the snowfall reaches 430" annually. Here you will find challenging skiing and snowboarding with a vertical rise of over 2,700 feet. Cross country skiing is a given, with "Meadows After Dark" five nights a week. A "fun zone" for beginners is available, and a Day Care center for toddlers. Meadows has numerous eating facilities and features six parks for beginners to advanced athletes; with jumps, rails, boxes, jibs, superpipe and two halfpipes. There are 87 trails, glade runs, bowls and powder fields; North and South base lodges with amenities, snowshoe tours, ski schools and a satellite base lodge at Hood River Meadows. Lodging accommodations are available in Hood River, Portland and the surrounding area.
