Dodge Ridge Wintersports Ski AreaDodge Ridge Wintersports Ski Area is located in the Stanislaus National Forest to the north of Yosemite National Park and east of Sonora, California. Dodge Ridge is privately owned and operates under a special permit. With varying Progression Parks, there is something for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Most advanced athletes will be found in Stagecoach or Rocky's Road park with features to challenge them. In the Family Lodge is a Children's Snowsports and Snowplay Center for ages four through six; and the Snowsports School includes an adaptive needs program for people with cognitive and physical disabilities. There are several Freestyle terrain parks and when Boulder Creek Canyon opened it increased the opportunities for advanced skiers. Additionally the mountain trails offer cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
