Coppervale Ski Hill Ski AreaCoppervale Ski Hill Ski Area is located in Goodrich Creek Valley on the southern edge of Lassen National Forest, just west of Susanville in Northern California. This small but beautiful ski area has been owned and operated by Lassen Community College since the 1960's. Over the years they have made vast improvements and now offer a terrain park, forest runs, a bowl and a halfpipe. They refer to their 6,802 foot mountain as the "Hill" where a vertical drop of 700 feet offers skiing and snowboarding for all levels. Cross-country skiing is available with a Wilderness Permit from the National Forest. There is a warming lodge at the base of the slope which offers a range of services including a place to get a warm drink and something to eat. The Ski and Snowboard School also includes lessons in Alpine, Cross-country and Nordic skiing which are popular at the Hill.More Ski Resorts: Ski Resorts and Cross-Country Ski Areas |
