Boreal Mountain Ski ResortBoreal Mountain Resort is located in Soda Springs, west of Truckee, California in close proximity to Lake Tahoe. Their terrain parks have drawn both skiers and snowboarders, with snow features such as hand rails, the super half pipe with new features being added seasonally. Boreal hosted the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in 2009 which has added a great deal of prestige to this alpine mountain resort. The Mini-Shred park for skiers has been designed to allow practice as well as for honing skills before venturing into larger parks such as the CORE park, where an Olympic class Superpipe draws experienced athletes. The Resort has a Playland Park that has a family oriented terrain designed with children and families in mind, with the added feature of a Tubing Park.
