Bear Valley Cross-Country Ski AreaBear Valley Cross-Country Ski Area is located in Northern California, in the Central Sierras between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, in close proximity to the Carson Iceberg Wilderness Area. The ski area includes numerous groomed trails for track and skate skiing and for snowshoeing; in addition there is a groomed downhill practice area and a sledding and tubing area. Here you will find the Meadow Cafe, and four Trailside Huts with two children's trails and a waxing hut. The groomed sledding and tubing area for children and adults offers a variety of gentle to moderate hills. At an elevation of 7,000 to 8,000 feet, this area has a magnificent snow level, making this one of the first areas to open and one of the last to close during the ski season.
